Modwen's report confirms the opinion's expressed by DMP vociferous supporters that DMP did not commit any transgressions, every one of the referees decisions were completely wrong excepting when awarded to DMP and at no time should Sale FC have been allowed to compete. Otherwise completely unbiased.

I suppose it’s how you read it. It’s a view from DMP so it is obviously slightly biased towards them but reading it as a neutral IMO it’s reasonably balanced.

For the sake of balance, I think DMP were rather fortunate not to concede a penalty try in the 1st half siege and I think their total penalty count for the game was approaching 20.

The interesting part was DMP's inadequacies in the set scrum. Sale have engaged reverse gear in the scrum for most of the season and to suddenly see them going in a forward direction was a surprise. Mind you DMP made up for it in the line out - rumour has it that the Sale coaches are looking for a barn door for target practice.

As a complete neutral, the report does say Sale deserved their victory. you can't expect more than that.
