Hi guys, good to be back usual rules apply, although I had forgotten you had lost a team due to B&S's unfortunate demise. I'll leave things the same though all predictions correct get a bonus of 4 this season instead of 3. Please write in which team are to win as it makes it easier for me to work out as when I look at the results I just write the winning team and not Home or Away. Red Pete is still the man to beat and at least you won't have to worry about Chipping Man this season as he has jibbed this season after being soundly beaten by myself LOL last season.
Thanks FP.

Bracknell v Weston-Super-Mare HW Bracknell good at home last season.
Brixham v Okehampton HW Fishermen good at home no info coming from Oke
Camborne v Newbury Blues HW Sticking with last seasons level 5 clubs at home
Drybrook vs Maidenhead AW Maids Perhaps making a bid for Level 4 after last season.
Exeter University v Launceston HW Uni to push for Level 4 this season
Exmouth v Ivybridge HW Only home advantage as was little between the two teams last season

They are my guesses this week.

Seeing a lot of the lads who played in the Blues starting 15 last season are out injured for this weekend making the trip to Camborne a tougher test than it already was! I have made the count to be up to 8 players and a few pending up until they leave tomorrow evening! Ouch

Certainly hoping that is the case!
A lot of expectations from within the club, let alone our supporters and other teams within the league!
We have a very young squad with a lot of talent but as to be expected which didn't really occur too much last year injuries happening against bigger and better oppo than we regularly played last year.
None the less very excited to be back in the 'National Leagues' and back where the quality of our squad belongs!

Apparently Camborne had to pull out of a pre-season friendly last week because of injuries so its evened up by the sound of it (unless all the Camborne casualties have recovered!).

From the Camborne web site: "Confidence is high among the squad with this is the strongest lineup the club has been able to field since the start of pre-season"

Unknown with Blues, but I think the comments about limited number of players is as much to do with some still being on holiday, some still finishing off the cricket season or some having family commitments which have trumped a long 4 hour trip down to Cornwall etc rather than an extended and unexpected injury list.

Hi Trftrf, I have looked very closely at the league but I have not seen any teams in this league called home and certainly not 6 of them. LOL
Please ensure you check again and name teams accordingly.
Further checks will be made tomorrow unfortunately it will be later than usual as I am working in the morning.

Ahhh, complete error on my part! Genuinely, did not mean to write that, was feeing smug when reading results yesterday, thinking I got them all except the draw. Damn!

Well some things never change as in previous seasons there is a strange feeling of De-javu with the boys in the SW kissing their sisters. A steady old opening week with a number getting 5 but the majority got 4, and a paultry week for a few with only 3. Red Pete last seasons winner was the only one to get the draw however he got 2 wrong other than that. So this weeks league looks like this.

Barum man

I made the trip down and must admit i was surprised looking at the finalised team sheet to start how well they did.

Missing their usual prop but the guys who came in did a job but the two lumpy lads fitness levels did show towards the end!
Great to see some cover in the row with a feisty number 4. But where were the usual monsters in the row? Big Kyle and his usual partner Tom(?). Did seem to miss them at times.
Back row has always been excellently well covered and a very exciting but inexperienced back line.

However, taking positives from the game, we were in it until the last 20, even having the lead at various stages and to take a try BP in a much very changed squad is a steady start. Onto next week which i would anticipate a changed squad for the first game of the season back at Monks Lane!

Looking forward to it!
