On the train back to Cornwall now. First half was all Henley, they came out of the blocks all fifteen smashing S&E all over the place, they didn’t know what hit them, 4 try’s up within 20 mins, but Bolster was off the mark with the conversions, but 34-0 up at ht. Second half Sutton pulled up their socks, but we missed five scoring opportunities when we knocked on with the lin begging!
This was certainly a baptism of fire for Sutton who I gather we’re missing 3 key players, to going to be a long old season for the newbies from the lower leagues, nice to see Redruth beating Esher.
The way we played today with our new players looks promising especially our young scrum half, don’t know his name I didn’t get a chance to get a programme!
Next week is a tough visit to Old Redcliffians., can’t grumble top of the league, very early days yet!

I would call Worthing's win a workmanlike performance - always takes a while to gel early season, and a struggle for fluency, but controlled the game in last half hour once in the lead
