Early post from me as I completely overlooked last weeks predictions Bridgnorth v South Leicester HW - SL look to be out of their league in this league Broadstreet v Bournville Bees AW - Chocolate boys to keep their winning ways up Bromsgrove v Sheffield HW - 'grove very strong at home Burton v Sandbach HW - boyed by last weeks win, Burton to take the spoils Newport (Salop) v Nuneaton HW - Can't really see any other result Peterborough Lions v Doncaster Phoenix AW - Lions going through a transition, need a few more weeks to get up to pace Kettering v Paviors HW - based purely on last season's results where Kettering won home and away

Can any of you Midlanders shed any light on the demise of South Leicester? Those of us who visited South in N2N were a little puzzled at the rationale for a club with seemingly no support, no money, no facilities and little or no community engagement, but somebody was obviously funding a side that were competitive at L4, not to mention paying for Richie Williams to do some coaching. Many clubs struggle to come to terms with relegation but this looks pretty terminal. Is it simply a matter of waiting for the bulldozers to come in so the housing estate can be built or is there a plan for the club to revive? ------------- Just call me "Sir". |

Interesting game at Burton, where the Referee found 14 minutes of stoppage time during which Sandbach scored three tries to secure two bonus points, four tries and less than seven. Burton appeared to switch off with the game in the bag near full time but you must play to the final whistle. The Burton full back impressed. I don't know why the Referee disallowed a Sandbach try in the first half, in the corner with me looking into the sun...any clues? It was also strange he delayed awarding the penalty try after endless scrums under the Burton posts. Results are in 3 tight results with Burton seemingly cruising to victory, only for Sandbach to score 3 tries to get 2 bonus points, Kettering keeping up their hex on Pavs, and the Chocolatiers seemingly scraping home at Broadstreet. The Salopians keeping up their 100% record with another 5 pointer. Bromsgrove win again and the Phoenix rises at the Lions den. South keep the score against below a ton this week. In the prediction league we have  performers in Club 1870 and the Stallion returns with full houses. We welcome Fushibo to the league and for some reason I didn't pick up Royal Warrior last week apologies. The league looks like this.
