Hello! Fixtures for week 14 games played 4/1/20 Blaydon vs Blackburn Ilkley vs Carlisle Kirkby Lonsdale vs Harrogate Lymm vs Alnwick Morpeth vs Macclesfield Rossendale vs Wirral Sandal vs Billingham These games are the reverse of week 2 fixtures, so let's have a peek at which teams have got better , worse or stayed the same since mid September. Blackburn had a 2 point victory over Blaydon in round 2, home advantage may be crucial this time, home win for me. Ilkley had a narrow loss at Carlisle earlier and have been in a steady decline since with just 1 win in the first half of the season, Carlisle expected to prevail but might be a close contest, AW. Harrogate were big winners at Rudding Lane in September, Kirkby Lonsdale have been solid at home this season, Harrogate should be strong enough to take KL unbeaten home record, AW . When Lymm went to Alnwick in week 2, it must have been a long journey home after a 3 point defeat, Lymm have impressed recently whilst Alnwick have got a bit better but their away form is a concern, HW for me. Morpeth took time to settle into this division while Macclesfield have been consistent winning the reverse fixture 33-21, should be capable of a win on home soil. Rossendale have picked up some decent wins recently, Wirral meanwhile have been losing games by narrow margins but they found a rampant Harrogate too good last time out might go HW here. Sandal were well beaten at Billingham in week 2 but have got their act together and are showing some decent form recently. Billingham sit atop the division with a 13 wins from 13 games record, Can Sandal lower the colours of the league leaders? Just an observation on this weeks matches.....I've declared Ilkley vs Carlisle as the UNBANKABLE, out of the other 6 games, you have managed to pick 5 different BANKER games, nobody has gone for Kirkby Lonsdale vs Harrogate yet, maybe the KL unbeaten home record is putting punters off, anyway time will tell, good luck! ------------- Welshwonder |

Evening all, today's results:- Blaydon 43-29 Blackburn 5-2 +10 Ilkley 32-29 Carlisle 5-2 -10 Kirkby Lonsdale 16-30 Harrogate 0-5 +10 Lymm 19-12 Alnwick 4-1 -10 Morpeth 10-13 Macclesfield 1-4 -10 Rossendale 35-17 Wirral 5-0 +10 Sandal 35-26 Billingham 5-1-10 Week 14 brought a few upsets, Ilkley managed to overcome Carlisle for only their 2and winner the campaign. Kirkby Lonsdale were defeated at home for the first time this season by Harrogate and Billingham had to taste defeat for the first time, losing to a winning try on 78 minutes at Sandal. Macclesfield battled to a 13-10 victory at Morpeth and Lymm scloquat home against Alnwick. Resurgent Rossendale powered to victory at Marl Pits handing Wirral a 35-17 beating and Blaydon impressed at home to Blackburn. With Billingham's first defeat and Harrogate win away from home , the lead in the league has shrunk to 6 points, Ilkley helped their cause with an important win but are still adrift at the bottom of the table. ------------- Welshwonder |

SANDAL CAPITALIZE ON BILLINGHAMS SLOW START BY MIKE BROWN 1 HOUR AGO SHARE Share via https://www.billinghamrugby.co COPY #wecontinuetobuild Billingham travelled to Sandal with a much changed side, Will Scott, Josh Wilson, Adam Gardner, Adam Sunley coming in and Jobe Roxby making his first start. This had a telling impact on the lions side travelling to Tynedale. Always a tough place to get a result and so it proved a fired up Sandal backed by a large crowd took the game to Billingham early with a physical edge the younger and much smaller Billingham side struggled to contain. The first score for sandal proved a kick in the teeth, a knock on at the Sandal 5m allowed the home team to race 95m with a brilliant breakaway. Billingham came back with a similar fortunate score through Joe Ross. Sandal Finished the stronger and picked up another score before the half. Peter Evans left the field with Dom Mcalorum both carrying knocks. Josh Wilson and Adam Gardner on after the break to provide energy. Billingham upped the pace and scored some great scores through Luke Wilson, Joe Ross and Jobe Roxby. Unfortunately the young side for the first time this year let themselves down with some lapses in defence and sandal powered back. Scoring off a nice break and at the death to take the 2nd bonus point away. Always a tough ground to visit and the changes, Christmas break and the impressive sandal team proved too much on the day. I have totted up the latest scores, the updated predictions table is below. Some predictors managed decent scores this week, Puli and Seaside Prop both got 95 and a three others got 90 but others struggled this week. The average score was just over 65 so not that good at all. I was lucky enough to briefly bump in Billinghamoldgit after the game on Saturday. Wasn't his weekend really but my moneys still on Billingham to claim the top spot come the end of the season and him to climb up the predictions table to be in the mix of this league as the season closes.
