Evening all , today's results

Alnwick 18 - 19 Macclesfield 1-4 -10

Billingham 20-18 Harrogate 4-1 -10

Blackburn 17-24 Sandal 1-4 -10

Blaydon 34-29 Morpeth 5-2 -10

Lymm 54 -18 Ilkley 5-0 +10

Rossendale 20-14 Kirkby Lonsdale 4-1 -10

Wirral 36 -19 Carlisle 5-0 +10

Some very close games played out today, Macclesfield escaped from Alnwick with a single point victory.

Billingham got the better of Harrogate in the game of the day at Greenwood Road.

Sandal took the points with a final play try away at Blackburn.

Blaydon and Morpeth served up an 11 try feast , 34-29 final score.

Lymm took care of Ilkley with a big win, 54-18 final score here.

Rossendale fought back for a 20-14 victory after trailing 15-14 midway through the second half.

Wirral eased to a comfortable win over Carlisle to ease their relegation worries, Carlisle are in a spot of bother with this defeat.

Blaydon hold on to top spot from Sandal , but its all very tight , just 2 points seperate 2nd to 5th place in the league.

Ilkley started well at Lymm with the wind at their backs and raced into a ten point lead, before the hosts woke up and responded with two well-taken tries. Ilkley hit back with two penalties and the half finished 14-13 to Lymm.

The second half started badly for the visitors and got worse, as benefitting from the increasing wind, Lymm ran in four tries, all converted to put the game out of reach.

Ilkley never gave up and were next to score after a long period of sustained pressure. Lymm still had plenty of gas left in the tank though and ran in a seventh. The coup de grace was delivered when an Ilkley attack broke down in midfield and Lymm pounced to finish on a high.

Relegation for the Dalesmen will be confirmed next week if they fail to take maximum points at home to Blaydon, or if Alnwick win at Blackburn.

Well nobody excelled this week with the predictions, mainly because nobody gained more than an extra 5 points on the banker !

Congratulations to RAL 3020 who got the weeks highest score with 90 with tulip not far behind on 85 ! Most like me got 70 or 75.
