Sadly I do not think there will be any more games judging by RFU announcements etc. I did hear BV still go up and Scunny down? Any truth in this story?

We (Bournville) have been told nothing officially or even unofficially so far so you know more than we do. Of course, I very much hope your information is correct. Smile

I would not bet my savings on source of the story! However there is some sense to it although I am sure others will disagree. Shame a season may end like this but there are more important things going on than rugby at present.

Dammit. Just as we were poised for our usual end of season surge up the league. LOL

Gents. Some sad news. Richard Harvey alias RDH 160 late of this parish has passed away. Fine chap noticeable not least for always backing Sandbach to win. R I P

Really sorry to hear that, I did notice that he had not made any predictions for a while. Looking at hs scores I notice he did pretty well although there were a couple of weeks where he was one off a full house, it must have been those weeks when he backed Sandbach and they came second.
Best wishes to the family from all at Scunny rugby.

Go on then
In my humble opinion it should go top of the league winners only promoted with no playoff place hence 3rd team not to go down. Although there may yet be some spanners in the works as SL & Bees last year.
As far as I can remember the teams
Premiership Sarries Down
Championship Falcons up
YC Down
Nat 1 Up Richmond
Down Hull I's N2
Canterbury S2
Nat 2 N Up Caldy
Down Sunny Scunny Mids PGH North
Nat 2 S Up Taunton Titans
Down O R's & Bournemouth SW not sure where these will finish up. However, they are 1 short in SW anyway
Midlands prem Up Bournville and well deserved.
Down Peterborough Lions only one to go down as they are one short in this league
Up Syston from 1 East and Dudley from 1 West
Nth Prem Blaydon I think are top
LSE Not sure who is top of this league.
SW Barnstaple up Nat 2

Might be worth having a bet on that FP!

No doubt some will disagree but in my view the RFU have at least made a decision and whilst there are winners and losers it seems as fair as it could be.
What is important is clubs surviving and perhaps reassessing their aspirations.
Good luck all in these difficult times.

Hear, hear! Survival being the keyword and let's hope we all make it!
However, I am more than a little perturbed to see clubs across the land launching Crowd Funding appeals for various amounts (effectively a world wide begging bowl) I would guess that there are more "worthy causes" that Joe Public may be inclined to support in these difficult times rather than a rugby club with which they have absolutely no connection? . What beggars belief somewhat is that the majority of these clubs run a semi-pro operation and surely if any village, town or city wants to maintain this it should be funded from sources within its locality through its membership, sponsors, sugar-daddies etc etc.
If there's a shortfall then players are either offered lower paid contracts or offloaded altogether if they are unwilling to accept reduced terms or the  club always has the option to revert to fully amateur status
I have no problem with players being paid so long as it is funded sustainably by its own local personal and business community

Bit presumptive. Not every club doing it is semi-pro. Some might be amateurs who genuinely need it to survive for next season.

Granted Robb but certainly the 3 that hit me yesterday were all from semi-pro clubs

Feel free to donate or otherwise as you feel fit. Lots of clubs have people who follow them from afar - this is an easy way for them to contribute what they can if they want to.

I call it enterprising.
