I see Canterbury have their begging bowl out.

Well done for those members/supporters that have contributed £10k so far to the cause.  Does highlight the financial plight many of us are going through.

They won’t be the last looking for help, most clubs last few game get them through the summer

The next problem will be when this goes away, and please god it’s quickly, what sponsors return to clubs.
Companies will be wanting to keep every bit of spare cash to make sure their own business gets through the next few years, not throw it at a rugby club in the National League with no return!
You add to that the fall out from the Champ of players now looking for clubs there will not be many top draw packages knocking around next season. To those that have been offered them and signed, good luck to you.
National league rugby will have a totally different financial look next season!

Intouch the financials will be very different and who knows maybe players will choose clubs not just on how much money they say they will pay but on other benefits such as good coaching, good facilities and meeting and making a great bunch of mates. It would be great if this carnage we are going through resulted in players contemplating more seriously staying at a club for a period of time and trying to build something rather than just jumping from club to club over a period of seasons. We can but hope!

Amen to that Clap

I wonder how many players that have signed contracts already for next season, either get called in for chat and a reduction or if they have not signed get a very much revised offer more attuned to the real world and what's happened! Think some players are in for a shock, because clubs will just not have the money!
