Hi Stallion, good to see you back, I hope you are well. It'll be good to have someone to chase That Bloke Wink

Thanks for the compliment FP but looks like it's me having to do the early season chasing at the moment. BinLicker is also a worthy opponent having taken the spoils a few years back before Stallions period of total dominance!!

It was simple good fortune, Thatbloke. As with all encounters with Lady Luck, she eventually turns her back on you Embarrassed

Broadstreet v Syston AWAY After two near misses Syston to get off the mark at Street provided it stays dry
Bromsgrove v Bridgnorth HOME Both have started well but home advantage to give Grove a narrow win
Burton v Sheffield AWAY Burton have disappointed to date whilst Sheff as  always will be tough and efficient with nothing too flash
Donny v Scunny HOME Bit of a toss up - one score either way
DK v Sandbach AWAY Two good tight wins so far for DK but not enough fire-power to trouble Bach
Newport v Paviors HOME Pavs acquitted themselves well on their last visit to Forton Road but can't see them causing an upset here
Nuneaton v Oundle HOME Nuns by a comfortable margin

My guesses this week

Broadstreet v Syston HW Broadstreet with home advantage
Bromsgrove v Bridgnorth HW Going to be tight just home advantage to make the difference
Burton v Sheffield AW Sheffield going well could be a long season for Burton
Doncaster Phoenix v Sunny Scunny AW Going to back the boys on the big pitch at Doncaster
Dudley Kingswinford v Sandbach AW Sandbach to continue their winning ways
Newport (Salop) v Paviors HW Salopians are going to be a tough nut to crack this season
Nuneaton v Oundle HW  Is it going to be a long season for Oundle?

Will soon get an idea who front runners and lagards are. If I am right in thinking no relegation might start to get some less meaningful games coming up, will be interesting how clubs approach it. Rather like premiership last season which with the notable exception of the play offs, the bottom end was as dull as ditch water by the end of the season.

Broadstreet v Syston = HW
Bromsgrove v Bridgnorth = HW
Burton v Sheffield = AW
Doncaster Phoenix v Sunny Scunny = HW
Dudley Kingswinford v Sandbach = AW
Newport (Salop) v Paviors = HW
Nuneaton v Oundle = HW

Nuns game postponed.

From their website

"It is with regret that we have just received news that the 1st XV game vs Oundle has now had to be postponed due to Covid-19 cases in the opposition camp.
The fixture will be re-arranged for later in the season"

As all pundits have predicted a home win - Can we have a "pools panel result", HOME WIN?

The Sunny Scunny pitch looked magnificent on a pleasantly warm September afternoon

With the results in.
Well nobody saw the Burton result coming and Club 1870 didn't predict this week so no points there. Good 1st win for Syston on the road, although they have been close in previous weeks, other away wins for Sandbach & Scunny. Nuns result to come eventually hopefully. Top scorers this week were Stinger and myself. with the Nuns result to come bringing up the rear were OFTD, Bin Licker and Section 19. The league looks like this.

Bin Licker.                  19

Stinger                        18

Friendly prop.             18

One for the ditch.       17

Thatbloke.                  17

Running man.             17

Club 1870                    10

Section 19.                  10

Stallion                          5

Hi there, I used to be a pundit in this league a while ago before my interest moved up to a N2N club. He’s back at this level now.
Would it be ok if I joined in from next week’s fixtures? I know there will be some catching up to do but I’m confident that my Celtic powers of prediction will hold me in good stead.
Thank you.

Absolutely no problem I see you have changed your moniker to Observer. I'm sure your crystal ball will be very similar to everybody else's LOL
