Dorking 4-1 Hertford --  Dorking are on a mission for top honours this year. Game of the weekend.
North Walsham 4-0 CS Stags --  Stags have a long season ahead of them.
Sevenoaks 2-5 Havant --  Havant have spent wisely in the off season.
Sutton & Epsom 4-1 Sidcup --  A tough start to the season for Sutton. If they don't register a win now they are going to struggle to keep pace.
Tring 4-1 Maidenhead --  Tring at home are always a tough nut to crack.
Tunbridge Wells 2-4 Brighton --  A feeling Brighton may come out on top of this one.
Wimbledon 5-0 Westcombe Park --  A very flat Dons against Hertford. The riot act will be read this week no doubt and a strong performance at home should see the Dons back to the winning formula.

LORD KITCHENER
just  to correct you on you on one point We have "recruited" wisely but haven't spent a single penny on players  for the simple  reason we have no money to spend . It's a massive  sense of pride at the club that we have reached this level by players wanting to play for the shirt alone and dont receive a penny
That's  why when we play a club that pays players and we win it makes it a bit more sweeter😁

"Spent" doesn't always imply financially. It is refreshing to see Havant thriving in the league this season. The league is not cut and dry. Far from it and it's great to have it so open.

North Walsham       5 - 0         CS Stags 1863

Long old journey for the civil servants for no return

Dorking                             Hertford       1-4      Important to follow up on last weeks hard work so hopeful of a W.

North Walsham             CS Stags 1863    5-0    Can't see CS getting anywhere near NW (I have been wrong before though!)

Seven Oaks                       Havant      1-5    No clue but Hav seem comfortable so far.

Sutton and Epsom       Sidcup       2-5    Ditto but S&E seem to be taking some time to get going.

Tring                                 Maidenhead    5-0   Has the level transfer curse struck Maidenhead? Would be a shame, but Tring need the points.

Tunbridge Wells                 Brighton        5-2   No clue, gone with home team.

Wimbledon                        Westcombe Park     5-0   Only one winner here judging on past results.

I notice on the RFU website that points deductions didn't seem to have been applied. Are there appeals going on or is it just the webmaster being slow?

Good luck all.

Watched my first game of the season at Sutton yesterday, 31 - 31 very entertaining, i'm guessing Sidcup will feel they did enough to win the game, but fair play to Sutton who never gave up.
Very impressed with Sidcup's scrum and line out where they looked very well drilled, and perhaps if they'd played a tighter set piece game they would have made it very uncomfortable for Sutton, but in fairness both teams got the ball wide at every opportunity and made it an enjoyable afternoon. Sutton were definitely more dangerous in broken play and moved the big Sidcup pack around with quick tap penalties, probably the first time this season the coaches have had the majority of the first XV squad to pick from, just hope they can maintain that, great entertainment.
Anyone know on what grounds Civil Service are appealing against our walkover win (5 points), they failed to fulfil a fixture, simple surely ?

I guess the only way Sutton and Epsom are going to get 5 points this season is by teams pulling out with illness. Only joking! Same excuse Tring had at Dorking. Just let's play the games in the spare week, and we will end up with a full integrity league.

What a league this is going to be! Down at the refurbished Big Field on Saturday, the Dorks were given a serious test from their old friends Hertford. Hertford had a very lumpy pack and they certainly know what they are doing at this level. Interesting to see they have Craig Bellringer starting at tight head for them. Craig has played for a variety of clubs at this level over the past few years. His most recent being CS rugby, which perhaps part explains their FR issues of late. I'd be interested to hear the views on journeymen in this league, and if there are any others knocking about.
Cheers for now.
