Very good game at Hertford on Saturday with two teams who showed absolute commitment to the cause whilst mostly showing absolute respect to each other. It's easy to see why Dorking have steamrollered many teams this season.
Perhaps the occasion got to some as we kept upsetting 'Miss' at the breakdown and Dorking kept fumbling the ball at crucial times. Ultimately the game was decided between the 60th and 70th minutes.

I hope any Dorking fans enjoyed their afternoon in spite of the result. Games like this make me hope the top 5 or 6 all get the golden ticket of promotion in the league reshuffle. I'd much rather watch a tight even contest than a 40 point blow out.  Clap

Sorry to disappoint Carlos but despite the current uncertainty regarding the Championship none of the possible scenarios will see 5 or 6 promotions from the Regional Premier Leagues. Looks like being Deffo 2 (without the need for play-offs), probably 3 and maybe, just maybe a couple of best finishing 4th placed clubs. Personally I wouldn't like to be a club going up to Level 4 having only finished 4th

The teams from level 5 who have been promoted to N2S in recent years have normally struggled - I suspect the intensity every week is one reason together with the need for a larger squad.

The games come thick and fast, especially before Christmas where 15/16 games without a weekend off is quite common.

That said if any promoted side can stay up then they have a better chance the following season.

However, with 3, possibly 4, promoted clubs in level 4 next season (and no relegation) there could easily be 6 or 7 clubs near the bottom so a better chance of survival?

Agreed and less games (26) may give some respite to tired squads. Also be interesting to see what the plan is for relegations from Level 4 the year after - won't be 9 surely (3 from each league) - just remind me - how many Leagues at Level 5 next season and beyond?

No idea if it is 2 or 3 down from each of the 3 level4 leagues next year - and even less idea how many leagues at level 5.
