Cambridge have announced theirs.

13th August Bury St Edmunds (H)
20th August Carmarthen Quins (H)
26th August Bedford (A)

Looks like Ritchie wants to test the squad. A number of the Bury players used to play for Cambridge, so that will be keenly contested, then Welsh Premiership and Championship opposition to test our mettle.

Kempston, sorry to get your hopes up, apparently we are now going to Nottingham. Not sure why.

I see Carmarthen are making it a clean sweep of Nat 1 sides, opening the pre-season by playing Chinnor in Wales.

Yes I spotted the fixture change on Facebook, well Cambridge Facebook.

Still waiting for Bedford to announce plans but hey 8 weeks to go before Pre Season seems to start, as we know at Championship level, we can’t rush things.

Looking forward to new beginnings.

Blues fixtures were affected by Saints getting into the top 4, so they wanted to switch the fixture, which it appears has had an knock on to the Cambridge one.

Mowden are at Blaydon tomorrow, playing two games, one against Blaydon RFC and the second against GHA Rugby Club who are travelling from Scotland.

"The season is almost upon us and we finally have some live action at Blaydon RFC this weekend , when we welcome Darlington Mowden Park and Glasgow Hutchesons' Aloysians (GHA) RFC to Crowtrees.

The three teams will be playing one another throughout the afternoon with the first game kicking off at 2.30pm."

Cambridge had enough pace to see off a spirited Bury in two hard fought games.
No quarter asked or given.

Albion are 2W/2:

v Okehampton (H) 34-26

v Exeter Uni (A) 36-42

Brickfields are hosting Commonwealth Navies Rugby Cup (UK/AUS/NZ) tournament in late Sep, so are obliged to water the pitch regardless. ( http://https://www.navyrugbyunion.co.uk/cnrc-2022" rel="nofollow - https://www.navyrugbyunion.co.uk/cnrc-2022 ) Higher possibility of natural irrigation this week due to 25-30% chance of thundery showers.

Venue swap if things remain difficult at Cambridge for Week 1?

Although baked dry, we played on Saturday, and there is hope of rain this week. So I expect the match to go ahead as normal.

Beggars can't be choosers, I suspect. There were several seasons when Leeds had no pre-season games.

Yes it would appear that the electric company didn’t repair the fault properly and failed to find the fault on Friday when they returned after it went out on Thursday night almost wonder why you have contracts for this. Still they have a few weeks before it will be needed again
