It is with sadness that I pass on the news of Dave Winpenny’s death. A stalwart of Chinnor Rugby Club, a regular contributor on this forum under the name of dwinpenn and keen competitor in the prediction leagues. I am sure many of you would have met Dave either at Chinnor Rugby Club or as a visitor to your home ground over seasons past.

Sorry to read this news, had a few conversations with Dave over the years, met him a couple of times at the Rams fixtures with Chinnor.

For the ordinary purposes of conversation, a superficial knowledge of many things goes further than an intimacy with one or two.

very sad to hear this - I'm sure our paths probably did cross as I've been to all Moseley's away matches at Chinnor and also watched them occasionally anyway. Will certainly miss the contributions on here.
