Predictions:
Jersey 5 - 0 Cornish Pirates - Jersey too strong and too quick for a stuttering Pirates team.
Nottingham 1 - 4 Doncaster - Nottingham look solid this season but Donny have better quality.
Ampthill 5 - 1 London Scottish - As will get their season up and running here.
Bedford 5 - 1 Caldy - Bedford to back up last week but Caldy will never give up and will get 4 tries.
Coventry 1 - 5 Ealing - Can’t see Ealing losing this one unless Cov really crank it up this week.
Richmond 5 - 2 Hartpury - This is going to be a thriller - Richmond will put it all in here. A close win for the home team.

Jersey 5 - 0  Cornish Pirates - Convincing win on a forward dominated evening
Nottingham 0 - 4 Doncaster - Donny to take the win in difficult weather conditions
Ampthill 5 - 0 London Scottish - An open game but Scottish fail the TB
Bedford 5 - 0 Caldy - This could be the week the Ravers falter against a confident Blues
Coventry 1 - 5 Ealing - Ealing too strong with Cov running in a couple of late scores
Richmond 5 - 1 Hartpury - Richmond build good lead but lack of fitness gets 'Pury a TB

Jersey 5 - 0 Pirates … The weather may scupper my chances here, but on form a comfortable home win, but with strong winds and driving wind it could be 4-1 either way.
Nottingham 1 - 4 Donny … My game of the week. Both sides look strong this season, but I think that Donny have just a little bit more power.
Ampthill 5 - 1 LS … I was going to plump for a 4-1 reverse, but notice that there is another PL Cup fixture tonight, which means that LS will be without the ‘hired help’ again. The Mob won’t get it all their own way, but will win.
Bedford 5 - 0 Caldy … Tough trip for Caldy. Blues on a high after last week and will run Caldy into the floor.
Coventry 0 - 5 Ealing … Ealing too strong for Cov. Tight until the last quarter.
Richmond 1 - 4 Hartpury … Another tight game, but Hartpury to prevail… just!

Jersey 5 - 0  Cornish Pirates - Pirates not firing, and Jersey going great guns and at home.
Nottingham 1 - 4 Doncaster - Nottingham are looking most improved so far, but not that much improved.
Ampthill 5 - 0 London Scottish - LS will be lucky to win a game this year, and they aren't doing it on the road.
Bedford 5 - 1 Caldy - Caldy will surely enjoy their trip to GR and the slope, but I'm predicting a lot of tries going Bedford's way.
Coventry 0 - 5 Ealing - Ealing got away with resting a lot of players last week at home. I think they put out a stronger starting squad this week.
Richmond 4 - 1 Hartpury - I've seen both clubs, and Richmond is better.

Jersey 4-0 Pirates Try bonus points in these games are rare as hen's teeth and the weather is going to make Newlyn feel like the Med but on current form Jersey by 8-10 points.
Nottingham 1 - 4 Donny This should be a brilliant game but Donny to edge it by 3-5 points
Amps 5 - 0  Scottish Banker
Bedford 5 - 0 Caldy Blues to go nap.
Coventry 1 - 4 Ealing A real banana skin against a well drilled side but Ealing are a class side and take it by a few points.
Mond 5 - 2 Hartpury Two really well matched teams but at home Mond to take it

CC is right about try BPs in Reds/Pirates games - there've been a couple in losing causes, but only once in 18 encounters (JR 32 CP 31 05/21) has the winning team banked 5 pts. And sadly Brizzer is right too - about the filthy weather forecast! Unhappy

Jersey 5-0 Pirates. Jersey are much stronger than last season and the Pirates are not.
Nottingham 2-5 Doncaster. A bit of a local derby with Nottingham putting up a good fist of things. But Doncaster's professionals should pull away in the last 20 minutes.
Ampthill 5-0 London Scottish. Ampthill should enjoy their first win of the season against a feisty Scottish side.
Bedford 5-0 Caldy. A make or break two weeks for Caldy coming up. If Bedford aren't enough, it's Jersey the following week. My head says they will lose both times but my heart wants them to win.
Coventry 0-5 Ealing. I think Ealing are currently second best to Jersey but they should overcome a transitional Coventry side.
Richmond 5-2 Hartpury. Could easily go the other way.

Jersey 3- 2 Cornish Pirates This will be closer depending on the weather and if Cornish keep improving
Nottingham 0- 5 Doncaster If Nottingham play like they did against Caldy Doncaster will run away with this
Ampthill 5 - 0 London Scottish As will get up and running
Bedford 3 - 2 Caldy  Caldy should have beaten Nottingham on the attack and looking like scoring and threw an interception didn’t take their chances but this will be close
Coventry 0 - 5 Ealing Easy
Richmond 3 - 2 Hartpury  Richmond at home just

If that is how the game finishes then this could be evidence in the match fixing court case

Blimey you're all right of course - must have happened previously  but not sure I can recall when and certainly not 3 times in a 6 match week!

3-2 results are very rare birds as indeed is 4-2 in which the losing side scores 4 tries and is beaten by a side which kicks it's points. The best thing about Championship rugby in my book is that well matched sides have great contests and 4-1 either way is the norm. Jersey v Pirates matches over the years have been brilliant contests often settled by a single point or two either way. It looks like a wet and windy night for rugby at St Peter but I hope we see a close match between two good teams rather than a cricket score either way.

Here is the Coventry squad list. Worth noting that the 4 injured players mentioned above by CK42 include the team captain, and his Hurst choice replacement as Captain. Toby Trinder, standing in for them did a fine job last week.

One thing we can say though. with the exception of two Bath Academy loanees, brought in as injury cover, this is a Coventry squad, of contracted players, rather than a collection of loan and DR players from the Premiership.

1.Toby Trinder (c)

2.Suva Ma’asi

3.Jake Bridges

4.James Tyas

5.George Smith

6.Fred Betteridge

7.Tom Ball

8.Senitiki Nayalo

9.Fin Ogden

10.Evan Mitchell

11.Louis James

12.Ollie Betteridge

13.Will Rigg

14.Will Talbot-Davies

15.Louis Brown

16.Will Biggs

17.Ollie Andrews

18.Archie Maggs

19.Frankie Read

20.James Martin

21.Will Lane

22.Pat Pellegrini

23.Lucas Titherington

Ealing Trailfinders have an extensive list of injuries to key players ,mostly wingers !. Alan Walker is a key player and Pat Howard , hooker and centre. The list is endless but there have been some good young players to step up.

Every club has injuries. Bedford had their top 4 2nd rows injured last week (so had to draft someone in from Nat 1), as well as our starting 3, 13 and 15. Of those, one 2nd row is back on the bench this week. The number 8 was making his first appearance of the season. Every club has injuries and it would be very rare/lucky to have your strongest team available all at the same time. Coventry fans seem to have a bit of a chip on their shoulder about this, I don’t think missing 4 players is particularly noteworthy.

TBF, Cov are missing quite q few more than the four quoted. They're noteworthy due to the fact that they are most of the more experienced core. Were it not for Tiki Nayalo, the the average player in the squad would still be in sucking on rusks age territory
