Seems Thursday we will get Championship fixtures.

Helps me to arrange any shift changes at work.
Excuses not to be at weddings, birthdays etc.

The older I get, the more the RFU leave me confused.

It's worth noting that the list suggests all games will be played on Saturday and in practice the day & time of the fixture can change. From long personal experience this may be important for away supporters who are booking non changeable flights. Is there a public transport link from Cambridge train station to the ground? Its a few decades since my last visit. Have a great season everyone. Jersey summed it up better than above so I have repeated their advice below:

All fixtures, home and away, are initially listed for β€˜weekend of’ dates and could be played on Friday evenings, Saturdays or Sundays – supporters are advised not to make travel arrangements around specific KO times/days prior to these being finalised and confirmed by clubs.

I don't know if the TukTuk link has been set up but no, cab only I'm afraid. Cambridge public transport is from the 19th Century and cars are about to banned 🚫

Blues away to Ealing
Coventry home to Jersey

Is this to set up a final week grand slam day?  Also better prep for a play off.

However, Cov are away on the opening day too.

They'd certainly be good final day crowds if that came to pass!

Never knew that. The bus station and rail station are a mile apart but there are buses into the City Centre.

You might be better off on an e-scooter from the station 😎

#18 is Whippet, so you need a different ticket to the services from the train station to the city centre.
If there is more than one of you, I would get a taxi.

Might be as easy to walk:

- Station Road
- through the Botanical Gardens
- New Bit (mind the cows)
- Coe Fen (mind the cows)
- Sheep's Green (cyclists/cows)
- Lammas Land
- Barton Road (via The Red Bull)
- Grantchester Road

About half an hour.. 😁

Stop at the red bull sounds like a nice option- fortunately / unfortunately for me I will arrive on the supporters coach which means I might miss the red bull, but can avail myself of the opportunity to try the clubhouse ale

Jersey v Caldy scheduled for Saturday 9th March 2024. As a treat for My Much Younger Wife I have booked L'horizon hotel for the nights of Thursday 7th of March to Sunday 10th March inclusive. I needed to be prompt because this year about 500 Caldy supporters made the quick and easy flight from Liverpool to Jersey on Easy Jet's Ravers Special.

In 2023 Caldy got absolutely hammered on and off the pitch leaving salvaging the Ravers' pride to await the visit of the Caldy 2nd xv at the end of the season. Pride was duly restored.

I suspect that Caldy will travel in substantial force for the 9th March 2024 visit

Not sure that video tells me anything as to why Cov are the team to beat. Sure they are one of the teams to beat but nothing more, yet. That situation may change later on but for now I am thinking Ealing then Jersey, are the teams to beat, followed by Cov and a couple of others.

Fascinating to see the routines of a full time squad - they all look so young!
Must cost a pretty penny both in squad, support staff and infrastructure

Well, they're mostly a year older than last season when they really did look young.

Didn't hurt their performance last season though.

Certainly one of the better players, but quite well replaced. Will miss his kicking from hand, mind.
