Good morning all

Another early start hence the early posting. Our thirteenth game (unlucky for some but for whom), against a very strong powerful Lions today, who recently put to the sword the highly impressive Rams last time out. Lions will be looking to extend their current winning form against Sedge as in two wins from their last two games against us.

On a very wet Park Lane, more rain to come I’m afraid, however this should be a cracker of a game. KO 14-30.

If you can post your updates from the games you are attending here that would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

For those of you interested here is our on-line programme with several contents covering the game in general and our opponents and the review of them, plus the league review from last time out and todays fixtures. (on that latter point, the editing was done in haste it is week 8 not 6 0r 3?? and the article bizarrely appears at the end of the programme). Please follow the link below.

The other links are the starting lines ups.

Enjoy your game and day today but most importantly stay injury free.

All the best

That team sheet on your program was the last team we fielded, looks like Geordie Irvine has been pinched by Cambridge, good for him playing in the Championship, shame for the Lions(he is a dual registered player from Northampton Saints and very good too).

It came from Lions but your Facebook page also on link below looks more like it. No doubt we will receive your team sheet shortly one thinks.

Are you travelling today or stuck in Scotland?

Either way we will keep you posted on what we believe will be a very tough game indeed.

TB or any Lions supporters

If you’re interested we have live commentary from the game today starting at 14-30. Believe me it might be the better option to listen to the commentary. It’s cold and very wet at Park Lane today

Halftime here at Park Lane. Sedge 17 Lions 12. A really good game despite the weather. Both sides on the front foot going at each other with Gusto.

Sedge playing downhill second half.

Weather awful.

Sedge 28 (4) Lions 20 (0) FT

Well played Lions. A very good back line and both teams wanted to play quick expansive rugby. The second forty was turned into a poor, farce of a spectacle from persistent and unnecessary interventions by the team of three, turning what could be a classic game into bizarre sterile non event.

Good defence from Sedge for long periods but they look dominant with ball in hand and on reflection very much good winners on the day just.  Having said that Lions should have had at least a bonus point for their efforts. A very good side coming together at Lions.

It’s cold and wet here at Park Lane so why anyone would want  something cold and wet is quite frankly bizarre. Down the hatch. Well it’s been one of those days. Cheers 😂😂😂

Have a great night Lions and a safe journey home

All the best

Yes that was a try fest! Getting close at the top now...Chinnor piling on the points week in week out. Good result for Cindy on the road too. Great league.

Chinnor without the Leicester winger today too...not sure whether injured or recalled.

Have RAMS got injuries or are the opposition just raising their game? Very good result for DMP. Silverfish saw it comingto his credit (I did raise my eyebrows when he did).

RAMS may like Jasper to tip the opposition this week

Rams 5 - 0 Darlington Mowden Park
Did I say Rams all the way last time out? This time it will be Rams all the way as DMP's Northumbrian Uni recruits, who have surprised, find speed cancelled by speed. Might be a good game though.

We are looking forward to our return trip to DMP. It’s been sometime since I was last there. Should be a very good game. I can’t wait. Great result again yesterday.

There is a https://www.mowdenpark.com/teams/11810/match-centre/1-13865617/report" rel="nofollow - match report on the Mowden website and a  https://www.mowdenpark.com/videos/highlights--rams-v-dmp-195478.html" rel="nofollow - highlights video with the many scoring plays.

It looks like a game played with high levels of skill and ambition, a great advert for National 1 rugby.

Thanks FS. Great game, particularly some of the Mowden tries and how well they were taken.

Your 10, Louie Johnson, was absolutely brilliant. One of the best all round fly half performances I've ever seen at this level. I saw that he is the starting 10 fo the England U20. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that he could be an understudy to Ford and Farrell now, and perhaps at the next World cup in 4 years time!

Thanks too FS. A very exciting finish.

I used to watch the Chinnor highlights last year, but they don't seem to be being posted this season which is a shame as match reports suggest some great tries are being scored.

Also there's a very balanced and accurate match report on the Lions' site. Hope I'm okay to post this.

I think Johnson is a very good player, a flyhalf with a solid all-round game and good pace to threaten defences. I don't think he would be above Marcus Smith and Finn Smith in the England flyhalf pecking order, but see no reason why he couldn't develop into an international-calibre player.

Thanks Fatbear, I'll look at those later today. Plymouth even had a post match analysis interview on YouTube with Ryan Lamb after the game yesterday.

Jasper knows his Plymouth rugby.....his following pre-match prediction...Chinnor good, very good but Albion are dogs of war and fitter and very, very physical. Chinnor scrum shut down.

On the money along with your match report.

All a much better watch than Saturday's scrum after scrum stodge (albeit I missed the opening tries).

I wonder whether you know why Browning has not played the last few games. Did Leicester listen to your glowing assessment and recall him or is he perhaps injured? Tried google but couldn't find anything.

PS DMP may have a case for a forward pass on the late try.
