For the ordinary purposes of conversation, a superficial knowledge of many things goes further than an intimacy with one or two.

Ealing Trailfinders to face Cornish Pirates:

I have to say that I'm feeling much less confident than I was previously. I understand Craig Willis is out with an injury, so I would have expected Steven Shingler to come in, but instead we get Dan Lancaster who has not one tenth of the experience. I'd also like to have seen Max Bodilly in the squad at fullback, but most importantly, I am concerned about not seeing Rayn Smid at 8. Will Montgomery is physically better, but Rayn brings a steadiness to the field. You don't see the team picking up 3 yellow cards in one match when he is out there. I hope I'm wrong, and there are some excellent players taking the field, but I'm going to change my prediction.

1 Will Goodrick-Clarke

2 Matt Cornish

3 Biyi Alo

4 Bobby De Wee

5 Barney Maddison

6 Rob Farrar

7 Jordy Reid

8 Will Montgomery

9 Craig Hampson

10 Dan Lancaster

11 Tom Collins

12 Billy Twelvetrees

13 Reuben Bird-Tulloch

14 Jonah Holmes

15 Michael Dykes

16 Mike Willemse

17 Kyle Whyte

18 Jimmy Roots

19 Danny Cutmore

20 Ollie Newman

21 Lloyd Williams

22 Dan O’Brien

23 James Cordy-Redden

Caldy 3-3 Bedford. Bedford always score tries galore but Caldy keep on pulling rabbits out of the hat. I can't part the teams.
Ealing 2-5 Pirates. The Pirates seem to be very nicely tuned and consistent. I have them down for a win if only to see a new league leader.

Last week the ref at Bedford vs Pirates played 5 secs of injury time, up at Caldy how long was it today? Was there a long injury?

Ealing 40 (BP) - Pirates 12 (2T) FT- Ealing score a garbage try at the death after 40meters of football. Reuben Bird-Tulloch slots the conversion to commemorate his 50th appearance. Very prifessional performance by Ealing.
