I really don’t understand why Ealing persist with Ben Ward. There are no excuses for Ealing losing these types of games.

“these types of games” ? That’s a bit disrespectful. Ampthill are a bona fide Championship club, there by merit. Don’t rain on their parade.

“These types of games” mean anyone who aren’t the other couple of full time teams in this league (I.e. Cov, Doncaster and Pirates). Ealing’s resources dwarf every club in this league, even the 3 clubs mentioned above. There is absolutely no reason they should be losing to any of the part time clubs in this league. It’s no disrespect to Ampthill.

Ampthill thoroughly deserved the win. They took full advantage of the match circumstances and the profligacy of Ealings defence (which has been woeful for weeks).

Ealing lost both their hookers to first half injuries, leading to uncontested scums for the second half, thus denying Ealing an area of real dominance and enabling Ampthill to attack off a secure platform. The consequential absence of a trained lineout thrower also cost Ealing dear, with a number of missed jumpers and crooked throws deep in Ampthill territory

Most disappointing was Ealing’s ineptness when attacking though the three-quarters - I seriously wonder what they’re being coached.

Friday’s match is massive - I sincerely hope that a raft of missing players are back from injury by then.

[/QUOTE]

Ealing have such a massive squad they really should be able to cope with injuries.
The Mennaye will be rocking on Friday night - I expect a backlash from Ealing, but if Pirates can get parity at scrum time they could run them close.
It's a blow that one of our stand out players (Lefty Zigiaradis) won't be available - he's an Ealing player!

Cov generally beat Ampthill comfortably at home but have a poor record at their ground.  Go to Dillingham Park expecting a win at your peril...

Sorry mate. I'm still having nightmares about how we let the game at Donny slip away when you were down to 14 and we had a big lead. That try by your right winger was pretty special to be fair.
This league is strange, though - London Scottish also beat Ealing for goodness sake!

Anderson, Hyde, Bradley, Prior, Musk, Jurevicius, Browne, Trenholm, Els, Hobson, Carr, Gjaltema & Slevin all Quins players. (Prior according to the LS website “will extend his loan with the club and has signed for the 2023/24 season”).

Oh they facts are clear for all to see WE - and have never been in doubt or been hidden.  The arrangement is what it is.
Your particular prowess at bringing it to attention of everyone at every opportunity makes you a proper Keyboard Warrior I guess - Very boring indeed.

I understand your support for LS and their fielding loan players. If there is one plus side it is that the loans are for the whole season and hopefully some will become LS permanent players.

The point I would make is that how can LS consider itself to be a classic rugby club when it cannot field a team of LS members. I don't consider myself to be a keyboard warrior, just one who questions the extent of the dual registration system.

However, the regulations are what they are and LS are taking full benefit thereof.

End of rant.

You may not consider yourself a keyboard warrior but you act like one, as you have not done any basic research before posting.

As for a “classic rugby club” you do realise that LS run at least 2 teams whose players are members of LS and one of these teams won promotion from Counties 1 Herts/Middx this season and there is nothing to stop any of these players from playing in the Championship side if the correct registrations are followed.

I also forgot to mention the junior or mini sides as well.

Your rant did make laugh. LOL

Yes there are only 11 teams this season as one of the Championship sides went bust by spending money they did not have. Maybe if they had cut their cloth accordingly there may well be 12 sides this season.

Personally I reckon someone who insults others simply for presenting the facts when others raise points is the keyboard warrior but each to his own.

embarrassing themselves. Happy to provide the service.

It’s unclear which team you support WEvans other than having an unhealthy fixation with LS team selection. Which club do you support?
