So only the two te-arranged games this weekend.
Donny 1 - 5 Jersey … Donny have been playing well of late and The Reds will need to be at their very best to come away with the victory that they need. Ultimately, I think that they cancel each other out up front, but Jersey’s backs and defense has been very good this season, so this is where the game will be won or lost IMHO. Ampthill 1 - 5 Coventry … This should be an absolute belter. The Mob are playing great rugby this season as are Cov. Home advantage will make this a close affair, but the visitors to all hit guarantee third spot. Have a great Easter everyone Brizzer really I think they will both be 4-1 either way but I'm usually wrong. Edited by corporalcarrot - 03 Apr 2023 at 19:08 |

My earlier post repeated the Brizmeister's predictions so for my own account:
Donny 1-4 Jersey - Could go either way. Jersey were really lucky to just win the reverse fixture so hoping they can keep the run going. Any points at away at CP is a great result. Is there any radio commentary? As Jersey are probably rushing back that night I'll ask one of the lads to smuggle a wedge of pie for me. Amps 4-1 Cov - Again could go either way but home advantage to just swing it for the Mob by a handful of points.

Latest indication from BBC Jersey about Reds v Donny is that there'll be updates during the first half and then full commentary on the second. The 1pm KO was agreed to the visiting team can get back that evening from East Mids...
Slightly worried that the pre-match scoff is 'brunch' - but am reasonably confident there'll be some pie with my name on at some point during the afternoon. Edited by islander - 04 Apr 2023 at 21:56 |

Doncaster 1-5 Jersey. I think this is the better option to watch off the two games today with Jersey continuing their efforts to keep pressure on Ealing.
Ampthill 4-1 Coventry. My prediction is based on history. Ampthill win at Ampthill and Coventry win at Coventry. This game could be decided by which side kick their conversions, and with both teams on a roll, it should be close. |

Doncaster 1 - 5 Jersey I am hopeful of getting something out of the game but not optimistic
Ampthill 1 - 5 Coventry I think Cov will just have too much, but Ampthill to make them earn it |

Jersey team news - interesting potential debut for replacement scrum half Luke Davies.

There is a massive amount of competition for places at the moment as some long term absentees are returning from injury. That puts pressure (hopefully in a positive way) on those in the 23. If you don’t perform, there is a queue of players wanting your shirt. |

It would be great to have a queue of players lining up for a starting berth at Donny. Our squad is small and we are experiencing the worst injury list experienced for years (as long as I can recall) - numerous players out for 3/4 months minimum. This year is all about getting through, then hope next year is injury free.

The Donny starting Tight Head must be a cracking player to keep Jake Armstrong on the bench. The contest between Grahamslaw & Armstrong would be worth the admission money on its own.

Davidson coming back from long term injury - he is a good lad. Jake is there to surprise you second half 😉
Hoping for a good, injury free game tomorrow
